Nursery

The Early Years Foundation Unit

Children can enter our Nursery School from the term in which they become 3 years old.  We provide an Early Years Unit of excellence with education of exceptional  quality promoting the highest possible standards of teaching and learning. In the Nursery and Reception classes we provide opportunities for children to make maximum progress towards the six Desirable Learning Outcomes:

• Communication
• Language and Literacy
• Problem Solving
• Reasoning and Numeracy
• Knowledge and Understanding of the World
• Personal, Social and Emotional  Development
• Creative Development
• Physical Development

The children also take part in teacher led activities in large and small groups or individually. We aim to develop the children’s level of concentration and their sense of perseverance.
