Expert-led teaching

We were delighted to welcome Dr Jurkowski and Dr Jurkowska to the Senior School this week, who led a fascinating session on the lungs for Year 9 students.

Based at Cardiff University and experts in the field, Dr Jurkowski and Dr Jurkowska explained about the structure of the lungs, their function and how diseases affect them. Pupils enjoyed making their own models to understand more about how these organs work in practice.

Bringing learning to life

The students have just finished learning about blood circulation and the lungs is their next topic, which they now cannot wait to begin!

Thank you to Dr Jurkowski and Dr Jurkowska for such an informative and illuminating session, and for inspiring the class to do their own research into this important area of science.
