A huge shout out this week to our vibrant boarding community!
Despite the restrictions on international travel and the need for our overseas students to remain in the UK this half term, we have seen nothing but big smiles, bags of enthusiasm and a positive attitude at every turn.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, with amongst others, Ms Lyndon keeping boarding morale high, Mrs Allen running a wealth of half term activities and IB teachers taking advantage of the quiet laboratories and classrooms to support IB Diploma students in tackling their Internal Assessments (IA’s), a key part of the Diploma Programme. Highlights of the week can be enjoyed below.
Wishing everyone a wonderful remaining Half Term and we look forward to welcoming you back, in person, or via Westbourne Online on the 2nd November.
The local Penarth Athletic Club proved the perfect venue for a boarding house social evening, with delicious Thai food proving a highlight!

Our boarders and Mrs Allen got the week off to a competitive start with some recreational badminton in the sports hall, easily accessible from the Boarding House.

Taking full advantage of the local area, our boarders enjoyed a sunny, autumnal day out exploring Cosmeston Medieval Village.
During the development of Cosmeston Lakes Country Park in 1978, excavations uncovered the remains of a village, over 600 years old. The 1350’s village is now available for historical tours and provided a great opportunity for students to discover more about the local history of our local area.
