Celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Posted: 25th May 2022

A school-wide celebration

To mark Queen Elizabeth II reigning for 70 years, students from across the whole of the school joined together this week to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee ahead of the half-term break.

The IB1 Jubilee Party Committee did a fantastic job planning and organising the all-school event, welcoming students from Reception to IB to the Senior School courts to enjoy a desserts street party!

Pupils and teachers were dressed to impress, wearing red, white and blue, reminiscent of scenes at our Westbourne Jubilee Party hosted a decade ago.

Bake Off!

In celebration of this historic event we hosted a Great British Jubilee Bake Off, with pupils from all year groups showcasing their culinary creations – from horses, to queens, to Union Jack flags. Pupils and teachers enjoyed sampling a range of amazing cookies, cakes, muffins and buns!

Well done to our deserving winners, Gabby (Year 6), Molly (Year 7), and a joint entry from Koto (Year 8) and brother Isaac (Year 2).
