Senior School students from our Drama & Photography clubs have been busy rehearsing for an upcoming production, with a working title of ’80s Ultimate Royal Sister Skwobnaping’! The story centres on two sisters who are fighting over the throne, with a kidnapping and a union!
Our Drama Club students have been busy practising Scenes 1 and 2 of the production, which is heavily 80s-inspired, showcasing a range of songs and costumes from the era. Scene 2 is particularly high-octane, with a ‘Beat It’ dance routine and a powerful ‘Lost in the Forest’ scene with Edith (Year 7), Bryn and Lila (both Year 6) singing a medley of songs including ‘Lonely- Akon’, ‘Alone-Heart’ and ‘All by Myself’ by Celine Dion.
Moving forward, students are excited to be working on the Material Girl scene which will involve the classic Madonna song, as well as featuring Queen’s ‘I Want to Break Free’ with classic costumes made famous from the original music video.

Meanwhile, in Photography Club, students experimented with scenery shots as well as recreating still shots from a variety of storylines. This week they completed some action shots which will be edited next week, while preparing the programme for the production as well as helping with set design and lighting.
