GCSE excellence!
Pupils at Westbourne School Penarth achieved excellent results in this years GCSE examinations with over 64% of all GCSE grades achieved being A*-A.
100% of Year 11 Westbourne pupils gained at least five A*-C grade GCSE’s.
Safia, pictured below, who joins our IB Diploma programme in September achieved an outstanding 8 A*’s, 5 of which included the new, Grade 9. Islam, another local Cardiff student achieved 10 A*’s and an A, 5 of which at Grade 9.
GCSE results include a mixture of letter and number gradings with a 9 and an 8 considered to be an A*, a 7 the equivalent of an A grade and a 4 the equivalent of a C grade pass.
