River Data
The Lower Sixth geographers spent an enjoyable day in the river collecting data for their Individual Assessment for their IB. We stopped at sites along the River Ewenny, near Bridgend where we looked at the downstream changes of the river from the source near Heol Y Cyw to the mouth at Ogmore Castle in order to answer the question, “To what extent does the River Ewenny fit the Bradshaw Model?”. The weather was kind to us, which was lucky as one unnamed Russian pupil managed to sit in the river! The data will be analysed in the classroom where it will also be used to introduce statistics in Geography.
