This week we hosted the Westbourne Prep Inter-House Cross Country Competition, for pupils in Reception through to Year 4.
The excited pupils competed in their year groups to win house points, whilst Year 5 volunteered as the event stewards, supporting their younger friends at every stage of the course.

The children, eager to get started, began with an energetic warm-up, led by Head of Sports and Middle Years Coordinator, Mrs Allen. This gave them the boost they needed to take on the run, as they completed laps of the circuit.

There was a fantastic show of support from parents, grandparents and friends of the school, who came along to cheer on the pupils. A big thank you to everyone who attended.
We encourage Westbourne pupils of all ages to embrace opportunities outside of the classroom to support their learning and develop new skills. Sports are a fantastic way to boost confidence, develop self-esteem and embrace teamwork, while building resilience.
We understand the importance of co-curricular activities and extracurricular clubs to enhance our students’ learning and support their social skills too. We offer a range of sports including cross country, basketball, yoga, tennis, football and netball.
