Future-ready careers support
Year 10 and 11 students from our Senior School attended the SkillsCymru event at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff this week.
SkillsCymru(link is external) is Cardiff’s largest skills and careers event for 15-24 year olds. The event showcases the varied career routes available to students after they leave school, offering the opportunity to meet with key employers and explore different career paths, complementing the leading career guidance provided at school.
Pupils were able to gather information on a range of careers by visiting stands, talking to the exhibitors, and taking part in interactive activities. Local and regional employers were on hand to share information, knowledge and first-hand experience of how they began their careers and what job roles are like across a range of competitive sectors.
Students also took part in hands-on activities aimed at getting students work ready and in the right mindset to think about their futures and the rewarding pathways they could explore.
