A Superb Cause
Year 4 teacher, Mr Murray has recently visited Tŷ Cariad orphanage in Kampala, Uganda during the February half term. Along with a team of ten people, Mr Murray in the local orphanage and school. Tŷ Cariad Africa is a UK based charity that raises money to help orphans and vulnerable children in sub saharan Africa. Their aim is to provide a safe, loving haven where children can grow into healthy, well educated and one day, independent and productive citizens.

Both Junior and Senior school students from Westbourne also helped Mr Murray by holding a whole school cake sale which raised a total of £268.00 the money raised contributed to a number of different projects taking place at the orphanage including painting rooms.
