Netball victory for u12 and u14 teams

Congratulations to our u12 and u14 netball teams who played against St Cyres on Wednesday. They came back with two wins for both teams with Olivia in year 6 being voted as player of the game!

Heading to the theatre

Year 10 students enjoyed an afternoon at the New Theatre, watching one of their set texts in performance, JB Priestley’s ‘An Inspector Calls.’

Big Night In

Last Friday our IB students held a Big Night In after school hours with a lot of fun activities like ‘hide and seek’ and a treasure hunt. They were fundraising for The 24 Hour Race, the largest student-run global movement to end slavery with races in cities across the globe. We wrote about all the fun activities that took place here.

Attending climate change conference

Welsh Government is working on the Low Carbon Wales Plan and hosted a climate change conference specifically to ensure that the voices of young people are prioritised and form part of our future solutions.

The conference welcomed key speakers to share their experiences of the impact of climate change, providing information on the facts around climate change and importantly asking for students’ views and pledges to bring about action to strengthen our collective response to climate change.

Great job to the four students from Westbourne who attended the conference to make their voices heard and to hear from the likes of Minister for Environment and Energy, Lesley Griffith.
