Year 5 and 6 pupils from Westbourne Prep and Senior schools have visited France for their latest residential trip. The students have been busy soaking up the history, culture and language of Paris, taking part in a range of activities designed to inspire their curiosity and offer them new cultural experiences.

New experiences
With a focus on France’s cosmopolitan capital city, the pupils have visited a range of iconic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, have enjoyed a trip down the Seine on the famous Bateaux Parisiens, and have taken in the sights and sounds of the traditional French markets to test out their language skills and sample some delicious delicacies!
The students also toured the magnificent Château de Fontainebleau, one of the largest French royal château, where they learnt about the medieval castle and its history, including its most famous residents: Louis VII and Napoleon III.

Entrepreneurial opportunities
A particular highlight of the trip, which the students embraced wholeheartedly, was the fantastic opportunity to visit INSEAD(link is external), the groundbreaking global business school that works to develop the leaders of the future. Westbourne is proud to have strong links with this innovative centre of business excellence, and is the only UK school to provide students with exclusive access and application support to Summer@ INSEAD, an MBA style two-week Summer School for students in our Senior School.
Our students were fascinated to learn about the history, work and aims of INSEAD, touring the grounds, offices and lecture theatres of its HQ with Professor Thibault Seguret, Programme Director of the Masters in Management Programme, and came away thoroughly inspired and motivated to dream big!
