Westbourne is committed to supporting the very best students from across the globe to thrive in our unique academic environment. We are delighted to receive applications from students with the potential to excel studying with us, who demonstrate not only excellent academic merit but also an intellectual curiosity and depth of character. Our interview selection process reflects this, with tutors looking not only at grades but also at the individual, their approach and how they apply their knowledge to questions.

We offer academic scholarships for the most talented students, from Prep to Senior School. Our Prep School scholars are given two CEM tests to sit, one Maths Quiz and one Reading Quiz, before meeting with the Head of the Prep School for interview.

Our Senior School scholars sit online CEM tests and, dependent on the results, may also sit a further English Entrance Paper and a Maths Scholarship Paper, in addition to meeting with our Principal.

IB Sixth Form

Applicants who wish to apply for a Sixth Form Scholarship should demonstrate a scholarly profile. To apply, students are requested to provide a personal statement of up to 500 words to support their application, expressing what they feel they could offer as an academic scholar. All candidates will be invited for a structured interview with our Head of Sixth Form and will be required to sit two 60-minute subject papers in English and Maths.

Attracting the brightest students

We are committed to removing any barriers to studying with us, in order to support talented students to thrive at Westbourne. Alongside academic scholarships, we are pleased to offer bursaries for students across the school, as well as a Stepping Up to Reception package for current Little Westbourne families.
