We welcome visits year round. It’s very much our belief that ‘every day is an Open Day’ and we would be delighted to introduce you to the team that helps make an education at Westbourne so very special.

The Westbourne campus is set across three core buildings, all within minutes of each other: a vibrant Prep School on Victoria Road with Little Westbourne Nursery adjoined, yet with a separate entrance on Westbourne Road; a Senior School & Sixth Form on the corner of Hickman Road; and not forgetting our Boarding House just over the road, welcoming students from the UK and across the globe. Our exciting new innovation hub launches in early 2023.

By Car

Westbourne Senior School and Sixth Form is located on the junction of Stanwell and Hickman Road, CF64 2AJ. Limited parking is available on site, please let us know in advance if you require a reserved space.

Westbourne Prep School and Nursery are via Victoria Road, CF64 3EF, a few minutes’ walk from the Senior School. Parking is available free of charge on many of the surrounding roads.

By Train

Penarth railway station is a two minute walk from both Westbourne Senior and Westbourne Prep School. Services run frequently between Penarth and Cardiff, a 12-minute journey.

From Cardiff, there is a direct train to London Paddington taking less than 2 hours. Coach services to Victoria are also available.

By Plane

Cardiff airport: 10 miles

Bristol airport: 50 miles

London Heathrow: 139 miles

London Gatwick: 167 miles

A convenient and inexpensive bus service runs between central Cardiff and Bristol / London Airports.

The Glendale, small, simple and very close! Bed and breakfast located across the road from our Boarding House and Senior School.

Holm House, 5 minutes walk from our Prep School and Senior School, elegant hotel and spa with restaurant.

St David’s Hotel, Cardiff Bay, 5 minute taxi ride from School, with hotel and spa beautiful views back across the Bay towards Penarth.

Park Plaza Cardiff: Centrally located in the city, perfect if staying for the weekend. 12 minutes by train from Cardiff Central – Penarth.
